When the design of a product is complete and has passed the final design gate and enters production, the Design Authority of the Product is passed to the PLM Team/Person.
The responsibility for all technical aspects of the product now belong to PLM.
These will include:
- Circuit Redesign
- Obsolescence Management
- Substitute/alternate component selection
- Product uplifts
In fact, all technical decisions.
