A Particularly Hazardous Substance is one defined as being within a group of chemicals that are believed to cause serious and unique health hazards.
Their effects can be: Carcinogenic, Reproductive or can produce Acute Toxicity.
It will not be long before PHS will become as well-known as RoHS, SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) and REACh, etc.
Some markets will require declarations of PHS as they currently do with RoHS, while others will ban their use in products shipped to their region.
