End of Life (EOL) refers to the point when a product, component, or technology is no longer supported, manufactured, or sold by the original manufacturer. EOL announcements often come with a Last Time Buy (LTB) option, after which the product becomes obsolete.

Prior to an End of Life notification, manufacturers will often issue a NRND (Not Recommended for New Design) notice, indicating that EOL is approaching and that the item should not be considered for inclusion in new designs.
