The Component Obsolescence Group was the forerunner of the International Institute of Obsolescence Group.
It was formed in 1997 and was focussed on facilitating co-operation on obsolescence matters on a national and international basis.
It formed the basis of IIOM, the International Institute of Obsolescence Group which is a professional body that encourages supplier members and OEM members to network to bring greater understanding of component obsolescence and its management.
