In meetings, stay Concise, Accurate and Relevant

In a meeting, it is far better to explain a topic using as few words as are needed. This is known as being ‘Concise’.

When explaining a situation, ‘Accuracy’ is needed.

Remain on topic, do not take the conversation onto topics that are not pertinent, stay focussed and keep ‘Relevant’.

We have all had to suffer in a meeting when some of those attending enjoy the sound of their own voice and will ramble on, until you are nudged in your side to wake you up.  Stay CONCISE!

Have you heard ‘I think it is about…’, or ‘It could be something like…’? It doesn’t help you to make decisions. Stay ACCURATE!

We don’t particularly want to hear about your daughter’s birthday, the holiday you have returned from or your wife’s favourite wine. Stay RELEVANT!
