International Institute of Obsolescence Management

The IIOM, the International Institute of Obsolescence Management, is a professional organisation dedicated to improving the knowledge and understanding of obsolescence; its causes, effects and mitigations that affect supply chains and manufacturers.

IIOM encourages and facilitates networking between obsolescence management professionals to increase the knowledge and understanding of the subject for all.

The membership of IIOM represents many sectors, especially those that develop, produce and maintain products with long life cycles; aerospace, defence, railway, nuclear energy, oil and gas automation, automotive and industrial.

Most of these industries are safety related, and so their understanding of obsolescence issues allows them to maintain their equipments through their projected life’s.

There are currently IIOM chapters in 13 different countries worldwide including Europe, North America and Asia.
